Disabled poor hit by EU tax on mobility scooters

Mobility scooterDr Bill Wilson, an SNP MSP for the West of Scotland, has drawn attention to the reclassification of mobility scooters by the EU, which means they are now subject to a 10 % import tax, the burden of which, he believes, will fall on the users, many of whom live in poverty.

RNID Report:  'Who Benefits?'

Dr Bill Wilson, an SNP MSP for the West of Scotland, has highlighted a report by the RNID which shows that the situation of deaf people in the UK has not significantly improved since 2001.
